The heavens are declaring! Do you see His glory?

The LORD reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof. 2 Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne. 3 A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about. 4 His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled. 5 The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. 6 The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory. 7 Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship him, all ye gods. 8 Zion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments, O LORD. 9 For thou, LORD, art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods. 10 Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. 11 Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart. 12 Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
(Psalm 97 KJV)

Follow the mud trail

What? Did I hear someone complain about a crack in their cemented driveway?

Every time I leave the house to go anywhere I get to go mud bogging in my VW!!
Aren’t you at lease a wee bit jealous??

I'm loving it!

I'm thankful I don't have to walk through the mud, my bus takes me just fine, praise the Lord!

Have a great day.

True Treasure

Can you imagine finding a treasure chest full of silver and gold coins?
Today the current spot price of .999 fine silver is $18.47 per troy ounce
and .9999 (24 Karat) fine gold is going for $1,187.00 per ounce (monex.com).

If your treasure chest was big enough to fit one thousand one troy ounce coins of each precious metal, that would be valued at $1,205,470.00! (One million, two hundred and five thousand, four hundred and seventy Dollars)

That’s a pretty nice treasure chest don’t you think?

Well, what if in the treasure you found there were also Platinum and Palladium coins?
999.5 fine Platinum is going for $1,581.00 an ounce and the ounce of 999.5 pure Palladium is worth $502.00!

If you had one thousand one troy ounce coins of these precious metals also, that would bring your treasure’s value up to $3,288,470.00! That’s a bunch of Dollars! Imagine how happy you would be for finding that treasure chest!

Now imagine everything that you could buy with all that cash.

Are you done yet?

Well, now listen to this;

“Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.”
(Proverbs of Solomon 3:13-15 KJV)

Take it from the guy that knew a bit about silver and gold and every other precious thing on the face of the earth. Wisdom and understanding from God, surpass them all in value!

“Stay focused on the Creator of all the gold, silver, platinum and palladium, and He will make sure that you are filled with plenty!”

“Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.”(Proverbs of Solomon 3:9-10 KJV)

On Saturday, July 31, 2010, our church hosted the regional Pastor's meeting and it was such a blessing.

41 people were present for the meeting.

First, Pr Jair, a missionary from Florianópolis, presented his work, and then Pr Vlademir from the city of Itajai preached a wonderful message from Psalm 57.

Then we all enjoyed a delicious meal prepared by the ladies of our church.

It was all just wonderful, and we praise the Lord for His blessings.

Last Thursday, July 29, 2010 we traveled to the city of Pinhais, just outside of the capital of the state of Parana, Curitiba. The Regular Baptist Bible Seminary is located there and that's were Matthew is now living and studying. He is so excited about being there too, and so are we. The official website for the school is http://www.sbrscuritiba.com/
