"And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." Galatians 6:9
This Saturday morning, as we often do, we all got in the car and headed out when our seven year old, Frank, asked: “Where are we going?” to which I answered, “We are going out to distribute gospel tracks to people and also put tracks in the mail boxes.” Frank´s reaction was priceless: “Yay! I love doing that!” Stephanie added; “Me too!”
After meeting my brother and his wife at church to go over today´s distribution plan and have prayer, we all set out to our assigned sections of the neighborhood. Quickly arriving, I parked the car, and all disembarked. We started out; Soraia and Stephanie on one side of the street, and Frank and I on the other. As we got to about the third house, Frank says; “I´m hot! I don´t want to do this anymore!”
I "encouraged" him with some godly fatherly counsel: "What! your kidding me, right! We just started!"
As we continued walking, I asked him to think of all these people suffering terribly in the heat of hell because they never accepted Jesus Christ. This is a very small price to pay to get the precious gospel to these precious people.
So we continued on, Frank and I, realizing together we must not be weary, we must continue sowing, fainting not.
